Architectural Intern

Port City Architecture, a Portland Maine based architecture firm, specializes in projects across the State of Maine with an emphasis on municipal work. We are seeking a well-rounded and responsible architecture student to hire as an Architectural Intern for the Summer of 2026. Candidates should expect to work attentively over a 40-hour week and should currently live or move to reasonable commuting distance to Downtown Portland.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design concepts for residential, commercial, and civic projects that will require knowledge of practical construction methods.

• Produce detailed drawings, renderings, and 3D models using Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD in accordance with applicable codes.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals while valuing diverse perspectives and adapt to evolving project needs.

• Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to refine project details requiring clear and proactive communication skills. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a professional architecture degree.

• Ability to remain engaged, focused, and professional throughout the workday.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD preferred.
