Gawron Turgeon Dillon Architects, P.C. (GTD) is looking to add to our team of talented professionals. We are a collaborative architecture, planning and interior design firm dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions. With a strong balance of technical expertise and creative vision, our team works across a range of project types, creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring. Located in Scarborough, Maine, our dog-friendly office specializes in senior living, financial institutions, corporate office spaces and buildings, medical offices, healthcare facilities, auto dealerships, mixed-use developments and multi-family housing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join our team. This role involves contributing to all phases of project development, from concept design through construction administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, design-driven, and comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be willing to travel to various project locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop design concepts and translate them into construction documents
Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and details
Collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and clients
Participate in client meetings and presentations
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support permitting processes
Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction
Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration
Ensure projects meet applicable codes, standards, and client expectations
Actively monitor project budgets and schedules
Maintain a professional and friendly attitude
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect or on licensure track is preferred
10 years minimum of professional experience
Proficiency in Revit (required); AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Enscape, Bluebeam Revu and
Adobe Creative Suite are a plus
Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing
Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
