Location: Maine, project sites throughout the northeast

Contact: Jeff Gammelin, jeff@freshwaterstone.com

Freshwater Stone is looking for an Architectural Stone Manager. We are hoping to find someone with a unique set of skills coming from a background in architecture, business, engineering, design or construction management who is willing to learn the intriguing aspects associated with this job.

At its core, this position involves managing the production and influencing the design of widely varied, high profile stone projects that have architectural, historical or cultural significance. Current architectural stone projects range from the ongoing restoration of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge, the upcoming Roux Institute campus in Portland, Me, the New York State Capitol building, the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art at Notre Dame and the redefining of the former David Rockefeller, Sr. estate in Seal Harbor, Me., as well as many exceptional homes in the Northeast. Our work is largely produced from our own granite quarries in dedicated workshops with a beautiful blending of state-of-the-art computer driven machinery and the unmistakeable handcraft of our stone artisans.

This is a job for someone who enjoys lively engagement with customers, professionals, craftsmen, and technicians. Inquisitive thinking, interpersonal rapport and a responsible, positive outlook are vital attributes. Essential talents include design, drafting, understanding blueprints and project management. Relevant skills are 3D modeling and composite material experience.

We will teach the right person the ins and outs of a lifetime working with stone. Generous compensation including bonus and profit sharing. If this opportunity interests you, please send me a note at jeff@freshwaterstone.com or call Jeff Gammelin at 207-944-0463
