ARCHITECT / ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER 

Jocelyn O Dickson Architecture (JODA) is a small firm with active residential, institutional and hospitality projects. The firm is also in the process of expanding our interiors practice. Relationships are of utmost importance here: we seek to cultivate a positive working environment and open communication within our office, as well as with our clients and collaborators. We strive to create spaces that foster happiness and a connection to the world around us. In our practice, sustainability can take many forms: energy efficiency, well-crafted buildings that are made to last, and use of natural, quality materials. While we love new construction, we take a special interest in adaptive re-use and working with older and historic buildings. 

We are seeking to hire an architectural designer for a full-time, in-person role. Minimum requirements include 5 years professional experience and an architecture degree. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. 

The candidate will have an opportunity to be involved in all project phases, from concept / research through construction, and should have an interest in both architecture and interiors. Technical / production skills as well as interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate comfortably with builders / collaborators as well as clients are also a requirement. 

Candidates seeking a fully remote position should NOT apply. Benefits include a flexible schedule (following the training period) and generous paid time off. The candidate should have experience with the following softwares: Autocad, Rhino (or other 3d modeling such as SketchUp) + the Adobe Suite.
