Southern Maine Tour + Social

Thank you to Caleb Johnson and his staff at Caleb Johnson Architects + Builders for hosting our first Tour + Social event at their office on February 25, 2015.

Caleb provided an excellent tour of his Deering Block project, a 2014 AIA Maine Design Award“People’s Choice Award” recipient.  The building had been vacant for decades when a 2010 renovation by Caleb Johnson Architects + Builders brought it back to life. The mixed-use building now houses four businesses, a handful of artists, a community art program named Engine, and a number of high-end apartments. 

AIA Maine Tour + Social
The Southern Maine Tour + Social was the first in a series of four events hosted by AIA Maine's Design Committee. The Tour + Socials will take place throughout 2015 at various locations throughout the state.
