Are you a talented, organized licensed architect or architectural designer looking for a place to grow your career? WBRC is seeking a creative and self-motivated individual to work from our Portland, Maine office.
Founded in 1902, WBRC is a full-service team of 60 professionals, including architects, engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects. We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where listening to the client is “job one” and each person’s contribution is appreciated. As a valued member of WBRC’s Team, you will work on cross-disciplinary projects across WBRC’s four studios (education, healthcare, civic, and commercial). We are particularly excited to connect with designers who have an interest in Healthcare Design.
This position requires effective communication and strong people skills, as you will work directly with clients and consultants on projects of varying size and scope. Your proven design and creative problem-solving skills will be called on at every phase of a project, from programming through close-out.
Position Requirements:
5+ years of design experience
Healthcare design experience is desired, but not required
Professional degree in Architecture required
Licensed Architect or on the path to licensure
Strong Revit skills
Demonstrated ability to manage a project from concept through construction
Thorough knowledge of codes, programming, documentation, and construction administration
Professional written and verbal communications
Positive, discerning, trustworthy, professional with excellent follow-through
Ability to continually adapt and improve while staying anchored in the fundamentals of quality design and construction
