Member Work Tours the State as the 2016 AIA Maine Biennial Design Awards Showcase
The design committee has been busy creating partnerships around the state with various arts organizations to showcase our 2016 AIA Maine Biennial Design Awards program.
The exhibition kicked off at Waterfall Arts in Belfast on December 2nd. The opening coincided with Belfast’s First Friday celebrations. On January 27, the projects moved to Engine in Biddeford and will remain there until February 18.
Featuring over 60 projects from Maine’s local architectural community, the display celebrates the best of Maine’s architecture and showcases the various ways in which architects design buildings that respond to Maine's natural and built landscape.

Both events drew friendly crowds who spent a lot of time interacting with the impressive showcase of our member’s work.
Special thanks to Gunther Kragler of GO Logic and Gavin Engler of Carol A. Wilson Architect for taking the lead on pulling together these two successful events.
