Join us for conversation, socializing, and conceptualizing how we can collectively support Maine's emerging architectural community.

AIA Maine’s Emerging Professionals Committee works to proactively support young professionals in the field of architecture, including those currently studying architecture, going through the IDP process, or recently licensed.

The AIA Maine study library is a free service for our emerging professionals and a way that AIA Maine helps support those going through the entire licensure process. Please note, you do not need to be an AIA Maine member to use our materials.

Any emerging professional living and working in Maine are welcome to participate.

State Architect Licensing Advisor

The EP Committee Chair is also the state’s Architect Licensing Advisor and can provide answers to some of your more detailed questions about licensure.

Newly Licensed?

Architect members attaining their initial license will be included in a three-year program that phases in your national Architect dues over a three-year period.

1st calendar year after licensure–renew at Associate member rate + 1/3 the difference of Architect member rate
2nd calendar year after licensure–renew at Associate member rate + 2/3 the difference of Architect member rate
3rd calendar year after licensure–renew at Architect member rate

Recently Graduated?

New graduate associate member - Graduates are offered complimentary AIA membership for up to 18 months. Eligible are individuals who graduated from an NAAB accredited program within the past 18 months or those working under the supervision of an architect. Learn more here
