2016 AIA Maine Biennial Design Review + GO Logic Tours

Please join us for an opening reception of the Biennial Design Review as well as a tour of two GO Logic projects currently under construction in the Belfast area.

3:00pm - Cornerspring Montessori School Tour
258 Lower Congress Street, Belfast

On a 35-acre site near downtown Belfast, the new school will provide programs for students ranging from toddlers through elementary, and will be built to the highest standards of sustainability, on target to be certified as a Passive House. 

4:00 pm - Private Residence Tour
17 Pitcher Road, Belfast

Situated in Midcoast Maine, this three-bedroom house is a modest 2,100 square feet, designed around the principals of the Passive House standard. The residence, designed and constructed by GO Logic, employs GO Logic’s standard Passive House–level building shell, detailed for energy efficiency with highly insulated walls, ceiling, foundation and includes a ventilation system with heat recovery.

AIA Maine's Design Committee is touring the 2016 Design Awards submission program. Waterfall Arts in Belfast will showcase the 2016 project submissions from December 2nd - 23rd.
