AIA Maine and passivhausMAINE have partnered to present an evening discussion with Austrian passivhaus expert Günter Lang as he discusses passivhaus buildings in Maine, the economies of large scale passive houses, as well as practical construction issues.

About Günter Lang
Since 2001 Günter Lang, a certified passivehaus designer, has offered consultation services for planning innovative passivehaus projects, both for new buildings and refurbishment of existing building stock. Günter also provides analyses, expert reports and studies for implementing individual buildings and energy self-sufficient communities.  This includes preparation of expert opinions for regional, national or international implementation of subsidy guidelines, legislation and strategies for energy efficient and cost-optimized buildings.

With his deep understanding of passivehaus, Günter has spoken at national and international conferences, seminars and training courses covering all aspects of the sector. In addition he organizes and hosts international excursions to passivehaus projects.  He firmly believes the knowledge of energy efficient buildings is critically important to the entire construction industry.
