Join us on November 12th to socialize with fellow local architects and tour Scott Simon Architects' newest renovation to the Bangor Public Library.

The Bangor Public Library, built in 1912 with a 1997 addition, is a much-loved resource for the City of Bangor and surrounding communities.   The two primary goals of the current renovation are 1) to align the library's services and spaces with today's library user and 2) to create better connectivity and transparency throughout the library.

The tour, conducted by Scott Simons of Scott Simons Architects, will review the current renovations as well as discuss the history of the building as it pertains to three generations of architects' work: the original 1912 building designed by Peabody and Stearns, the 1997 addition designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects, and the current design by Scott Simons Architects.
